Front cover Progress and finish copy

This is my first design for my front cover, i have a clear set out layout in my head and how it is going to look, i am going to try and work more on this when i gain access to my image when it has been taken i will work around it more cleanly and change movements of text to fit the page, i will also make the masthead bigger to make it more attractive and the logo more visible.

This is my second drafted version of my front cover, this shows how i have made changes and have added my main image and a subsidary image, to the image i have added greyscale so that the image looks more attractive for the audience as it sets the feel, i have created a much cleaner look to the page and im still looking in change a few things before i finish like placing of text and placing of sub image, i am also going to change the size of the logo and masthead again, im also going to work with colour changes to make it look more attractive and appealing.

 

 

This is my final copy of my magazine, i have increased the size of some writing and been careful about spacial awareness with text and the sub image. I feel this is a good finished magazine and has a clean look to it.

Contents page progress and finished copy

This is one of my last drafts of my contents page, i need to change some of the colour on the edge of boxes so they fit the style of the page, i am going for the style of Q so the outlinings have to be Sharp and fit well. I will change these and see the results.

This is my final copy of my contents page, i feel it has a nice layout to it and has an attractive style to it. It is easy to read and you can get to the page which you want with the easy text in place and placement of pictures on the page.

Article progress and finished

 

This is my first finished page of my article, i made this in one lesson and felt that the backgrounding of the image and the text fit extremely well on the page so i didnt have to add anything extra to this page.

This was my first draft of my actual article in place, i felt that this needed to be changed as the introduction was not well placed and the masthead was not clear and attractive as possible, i also was worried about the size of white which is left in the bottom corner so im going to maybe change the size of writing and apart different things around the page.

This is my second draft on my article page and it is coming on quickly and i feel it has a nice view to it, i have changed the text size just a little so it fills the page a bit more, i feel with the pull quotes i have added i need to enlarge them so they are attractive to the reader and stand out to the eye.

This is my finished article page, i feel it has a nice look to it and will look well with the page next to it with the urban look of the background to match and the pull quotes standing off the page, i think it looks attractive and would appeal to my target audience.

School Magazine content page

 

This is my school magazine contents page, I have managed to accurately draw my draft which i have created, i have chanegd a few things with the picture being changed as i couldnt find a suitable situation for the picture so planned a different image. I have managed to keep the same layout for the page and i feel that it is attractive and has a clean look to it. I feel i could haver done a better job on the splash but i do not want this to take over my look on my music magazine designs and creation. This would be acceptable for a school magazine as it is basic and gives a nice and easy look for children and teachers to understand.

Front cover image idea

Here is an example of the band 'All Time Low' posing for a picture, i feel that this image is a good example of showing off a band in an attractive and positive light giving it a pleasant lighting and a good atmosphere on the band, it also gives you a good feel of what would be inside by the pleasant nature of the photo. I feel i could re-create this image really easily so i feel that it is a good example of something i could use on my magazine. Here is the image:

I have found a good example of what i would like my final music magazine to look like, i feel that this magazine layout for NME of the contents page is very attractive and will suit my genre of music well. Here is an example of one of the magazines
